Abstract

We report intraspecific variation in Vanda cristata Lindl. of Orchidaceae in Darjeeling Himalaya of India. The distinct variation in floral morphology and colour of flower, size of whole flower was observed, the bigger measuring 4.1 to 4.3cm across (lateral petal to lateral petal) when compared to the normal size that measured 2.8 to 3cm. The normal floral colour is yellowish green but in the plant showing variation it was observed green colour. All other floral parts showed clearly much larger size than the normal.
